Had to euthanize my old ibook, it took several blows with a tomahawk, but now I believe the GEEK SQUAD
guy at BEAST BUY is finally correct that it now beyond repair.

Strange that my 4 year old lap top was soooo old that it could not be made to work, but they were willing at a
small fee to recycle it.

Now they aren't interested in it , "Now we can't refurbish this unit at all." Hell, I was looking for a geek not
a scam artist.

I opened the box of my new MacBook in full view of the ibooks remains, I may have detected a slight quiver
of fear nay respect from the new unit.

Capital punishment is a deterrent to treasonous acts. This unit will live a long faithful life, or be buried in the
backyard with the other one.

Haven't posted in a while, my computhingy is acting up.

Still trying to get fitted for a new leg, but it seems that may cost another arm & leg.
Thanks to all, for your warm thoughts and help.

I will post more often, once my e-mail is fixed.

I tried for quite a long time to heal my broken leg, but the infections set in and got
out of hand. I had it amputated below the knee last thursday. Some of you were getting updates through "Panthergirl", Sorry I was unable to access my computhingy
during my hospital stay.

I am thankful to everyone for your concern.

In a few weeks
I'll be going in for a series of fittings for a prosthetic leg, in the meantime, I'm on
home antibiotic I.V. therapy for the next month.

It is true, what they say about Phantom limb sensation. Still I'll settle the once in a
while imaginary pain, over the constant & real pains over the last year.

Got to hang out with Audrey this Independence Day weekend, had a blast.
At least as far as she goes, the apple landed back in the tree. You could say she
has a flair for fireworks.

We showed up at Whiteys place for the white trash party, thanks to all who were
there. Best damn pyro display ever, and we didn't burn down the woods.

A long over due thanks to everyone for their help with the hospital bills, and the
save Johnnys leg benefit show at the Palace of Wonders. I wish I'd been able to be there, but I was in surgery prep.

I'll be at Pensic this year, come hell then high water ( as usual ).
See you at Kindred camp.

Or was it the 6'th ? Still kinda messed up on the morphine & oxycodone.
The Dr. has removed almost 4" of dead tibia from my left leg. In 6 to 10 weeks,
he's planning on installing a bone graft.

From that day forward, I will claim that "I didn't fall, I was tripped by the dead guy !"

O.K., I know it's in poor taste, but ya gotta' laugh at something.

The good news is that the odds on keeping the leg are up to about 40%, I should
know more in about 3 months. My insurance has decided to reopen the investigation,
on the accident. They've placed a stop on the officers injury claim and our
Congressman is looking into " The lost paperwork " in D.C.

I want to thank everybody for your well wishes, sorry that I don't post more often.

Yep it was a cop that did a u-turn into the side of my motorcycle, in the middle of the block. I'm still trying to get the case started, and yes, I'm working with a lawyer.
D.C. is still ducking my calls and not returning voice mails. Since the accident was more than 6 months ago, it may not be possible to get the case heard in court.
D.C. has some self protective rules.

Thanx for the well wishing, looks like I've at least one more surgery.
The scab that was on my shin since July, finally came off. Exposing 1-1/4" of bone.
My primery care dr. is a bit spun up about it.
I gotta get something done to it, it's Snagging & cutting through my jeans.

My insurance company has rolled over & paid out to the cop, she has claimed
spinal injury. They said it would cost them more than the claim to defend against it.

They've pretty much killed my case against DC... Griping is no help to it.
I'ld like to say I'm not a bit peeved about it, but that would be a whopper.

Woke up after surgery to find both legs, it's a good start.
Got fed up with hospital rules, took my self out of traction, pulled my I.V. & cheched
out the next day. Resting & healing at home, feel free to call or drop by. I may make
it to renfaire this weekend, too much rest & healing at home. Bored with TV &
discomfort.

I look and feel as though I'd been attacked by big damned shark. Doc said, " That
piece of your hip bone should fill in pretty well, in a few weeks."
Even the " Skitso " our less friendly cat can't wait to fight over the right to annex my lap. Tired & sore, sleep now.
Oh yeh, thanks to all for the well wishes.

With apologies, I don't make posts often. I'm still trying to get out & about
( against Drs. reccomendations,) but I still feel this "Computhingy" a second choice,
to face to face discourse. More than half my abillity to communicate with anyone, is
based on gestures, voice inflection, timing & " real spontanious laughter," that is why
I try when ever possable, to go out to parties or Ren Faire or even "Gods Forbid,"
Starbucks.
Also "cabin fever" is a major factor, but I admit that I wore myself thin this weekend,
I had a great time at faire this week end, thanks to all who hung out with me at
" The Whiteheart tavern." I'm going to take it lite this week, to catch up with some of that Drs. orderd rest.

TTFN. Johnny Slaughter, Rusty Codpiece, Lance Boyle & Hagus McNuggett !

" OK " Here's the skinny on what's going on with my leg. Despite switching in n out of every antibiotic known to man, some infection has set in. Almost bound to happen when you rub exposed bone on the asphalt of Georgia ave , it is starting to look as though the Doc may have to go back in and clean up some splintered bone ends and add some more titanium plates& screws. He's Going to drain the infected area and pack it with hard antibiotics, I stand a pretty good chance of keeping my leg. I'm ordering a new motorcycle with a hand shifter on the right hand side of the tank, just in case. Worst comes to worst, I may be looking for some "budget minded bionics." I'm not to proud to get a " second hand leg ,"( hotcha chah, I gotta milion of em !)
I thank any and all for your concern and well wishes.
Johnny Slauhter,
Lance Boyle &
Rusty Codpiece.
